Will the US SDOC certification replace the FCC certification? On November 2, 2017, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) officially announced that the DoC and VoC plans were officially changed to SDoC to simplify the certification process for wireless devices and to clarify the rules for the use of electronic tags. SDoC is the Supplier's Declaration of Conformity, the equipment supplier (Note: the supplier must be a local company in the United States) will test the equipment that meets the required standards or requirements. The equipment that meets the requirements must provide relevant documents (such as the SDoC statement). Provide proof to the public. The SDoC policy simplifies previous complex FCC certification requirements and further reduces the burden on the business. Why simplify to SDOC! ? In fact, it is very simple! Since FCC-VOC and FCC-DOC represent two different types of products to be certified separately: FCC-VOC refers to a product that is generally charged. FCC-DOC refers to products with data transmission and reception functions around the computer. The SDOC that is being implemented now combines these two kinds into one authentication method, and that's it! Where else do not understand, pick up the phone: consult Wang Gong Tel: 18566368341 1. Simplify the process of self-approval. The FCC decided to replace the existing FCC VoC and FCC DoC with the SDoC form. 2. Allow the use of electronic tags. The FCC requires the use of electronic tags, and the required information must be displayed on the product or otherwise provided, such as FCC identification numbers and declaration of conformity. 3. Reduce cumbersome import declarations and requirements. The order no longer requires a US import declaration for RF equipment to be submitted to Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and changes to the committee's rules to clarify compliance requirements related to imported equipment. 4. Revise the measurement procedures and clarification criteria. This order modifies the committee's measurement procedures to simplify and integrate the use of equipment in different services to make it more flexible. The policy has been in effect since the date of publication, November 2, 2017, but there is still a one-year transition period! note: 1. You can choose to continue using the FCC VoC and DoC certification procedures during the transition period; 2. The FCC VoC and DoC certification procedures made before the transition period are always valid. If the product is modified, it needs to be re-certified; 3. Products that pass the FCC SDoC certification program will be able to choose to mark or not mark the FCC logo; The SDoC requires an additional compliance statement to be included in the documentation accompanying the device. The compliance statement must include the necessary information such as the name, address or contact URL of the local US supplier. How to handle FCC-VOC/DOC/SDOC certification: 1. Fill in the application form, 2. Provide product information, 3. Send samples, 4. Test OK, 5. Report. Cost: According to the actual situation assessment!
